Northwest Aviation Maintenance School is the only school of its kind in the northwest. We help test prep qualified students to pass their Airframe & Powerplant written, oral & practical tests. Our FAA certified practical testing room allows us to practice where we test. We’re dedicated to the aviation community and were committed to helping it grow. With our experienced staff and dedication to quality education, we’re here to help  you achieve your dreams in aviation!
 

SHAWN ALLEN

INSTRUCTOR

Hello. My name is Shawn Allen, and I am the instructor here at Northwest AMS (Aviation Maintenance School). I am married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. I have been working at Northwest AMS since January 2023. I have 30+ years in aviation, mostly in the aircraft structures field. I retired from the AirForce after 24 years of service as an aircraft structure’s technician. After the military I worked for Boeing for 6 years as a modification technician, then onto Western Aircraft as a structure’s technician for 2 years and now I am here at Northwest AMS. When I’m not at work I like to go to the mountains, go to the gym, and ride my Harley.

CHRIS WADSWORTH

COURSE COORDINATOR

Hi! I’ve been in Idaho for over 25 years. I’m a transplant from Georgia via the military. Retired from the Army after 30+ years. I have five years in the aviation industry and 25 years in maintenance. I’ve been with this program since its inception in 2020. I’m married with three children and nine (yes 9) grandchildren. When I’m not at work, I like to tinker wih things around the house, work on cars, play drums, fly RC airplanes and cruise the highways on my VTX 1800.

NORTHWEST AVIATION SCHOOL GUARANTEE

Northwest Aviation School guarantees if you fail any of the written, oral, or practical tests, Northwest will give you additional instruction in one of our 2 seats designated for additional instruction in each class up to 24 months. You will need to contact us to see when the next available spot is open. 

**Northwest DOES NOT guarantee that you will receive your certificate within 2-4 weeks. This is due to DME availability and the capabilities of each student. 

DME’S MAKE THEIR OWN SCHEDULE. We will always do our best to accomadate our students schedules, but DME’s are not employed by Northwest. They are an extension of the FAA.
